Preconference meetups?

Wednesday and Thursday

All rooms of the school are used on Wednesday and Thursday for the hackathon and they are not available for meetups. Not in the morning nor in the evening. --iopensa (talk) 07:48, 13 June 2016 (UTC)

It's sad... iopensa, is there a place somewhere else on the 23rd for the Meetups/Wikisource ? Someone should update the pages Meetups, Programme and Hackathon/Program (right now, it's unclear and it seems the usual time slots for meetups are available... VIGNERON, you can have meetups between 10.30 and 11.30 and between 15.00-17.30 in the bars (these are the best times so we do not disturb the preparation of lunches and dinners. Are these times suitable? --iopensa (talk) 14:00, 13 June 2016 (UTC)

I put first of all the available rooms. then the time for restaurants (Oasi, 58 and Montanina are also restaurants) which do not disturb the preparation of the dinners. It is not that we can not organize meetups between 18 and 19 (we are reserving 2 table for meetups between 18 and 19, but if possible start with the available rooms first. --iopensa (talk) 23:23, 17 June 2016 (UTC)

Incosistent times and my slot conflict

In a message to Beonit Rochon, I pointed out that Meetups/Cities and regional wiki-groups meetup has different times listed on the page itself and in the meetup schedule; and that I could not attend both this meetup and the Meetups/Wikipedians in residence, although I am closely involved in both and have for long signed up for both – so I would very much prefer them not to overlap in time. If possible, avoiding conflict with Meetups/Esperanto would also be helpful. I hope that Benoit (or someone else in charge) will response to my question and that it will be possible to adapt the schedule accordingly. Regards, --Blahma (talk) 23:49, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

Hello Benoit Rochon, thanks for considering my request. I have inspected the programme and concluded that moving Wikipedians in residence to Friday or Sunday morning (9:00–10:00, not later) would work best for me, if you could get a place for those few anticipated attendants at some of those times. As I happen to be also a Hackathon participant, I would need to sacrifice the Hackathon showcase on Saturday evening if you moved Wikipedians in residence to that time; however, go for it if my other suggestions do not work, as I am first a Wikipedian in residence and only then a MediaWiki developer. And please fix the date discrepancy between the time of Cities and regional wiki-groups meetup in its page and in the program overview – or tell me that I can fix it. It's hard to satisfied every demand, especially if you have 3 meetups overlaping. As you can see I have no slots left in the mornings you ask. And worst I think I can't use bars for meetups.

Thank you, have a safe trip and let's hope we will arrive at a solution soon. From the point of promoting the meetup, I think it is better to have a bad fixed schedule soon than a perfect schedule at the last moment. I would like to promote the Wikipedians in Residence meetup in the mailing list, but need to wait to have final date and time. Hopefully this will be possible in Tuesday, still some two days ahead of the actual meetup. GLAM meetup

lovely idea!! The GLAM people would love to meet up Saturday evening in one of the bars. Please let us have the most GLAMorous of them all. The topic would be "GLAM coordinators meeting" as follow up to Paris group, Wikimedia conference 2016 and ..

Do you need more info or would it do so?

Will you book the room? Did I get that right?
