Re: Names

I imported what I was told, I assume the programme committee informed the submitters. I noticed that some only entered the last name (like "Pengaroo"); in those cases the name was not imported: Critical issues presentations/Cuteness: a state of mind for shaping the future of the Wikimedia movement. @Nemo bis: I asked this question as I noticed several names of Wikipedians that AFAIK are not supposed to be public. As far as I understand EasyChair has two separate fields for first name and last name, thus many people had to put their real name, but they might not know that it would be published. Critical issues presentations/Cuteness: a state of mind for shaping the future of the Wikimedia movement is a good example: we have Russell Skunk instead of Russell the Skunk and meaningless names like Erminig Pengaroo and Wendy Nco. What I suggest is to check if people were really informed that their real names from EasyChair will be published online, and if not probably we will have to oversight some non-public names — NickK (talk) 16:05, 15 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Might be meaningless, but they're what was entered. :) Committee confirmed that they think people knew. Better let people know directly if you think they wouldn't publish their name, and they can write MLWatts to get the name removed. Nemo 18:39, 15 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
