Description:

Workshop and brainstorm to exchange information about GLAM projects on Wikidata and to set an agenda for shared action after Wikimania.

  1. Which GLAM projects have we done on Wikidata in its 3-year existence?
  2. What have we mainly learned from these projects?
  3. Which are the most pressing issues and improvements we need for GLAM projects?
  4. How will we work on these issues together after Wikimania 2016?

Purpose:

To bring together experiences from GLAM and Wikidata projects we've done in the past year, and to learn from each other.

A selection of GLAM and Wikidata projects in 2015-2016 (add yours!):

Targeted participants:

  1. People who are already a bit familiar with Wikidata, and who are interested in learning about collaboration projects with GLAMs and other partner organisations
  2. People who have some, or a lot of, experience in GLAM and Wikidata projects
  3. Developers active with Wikidata tooling

Preparatory readings or materials:

  • Please do at least a few edits on Wikidata, related to art/culture/GLAM topics.
