Traditionally the Wikimania meetup has always been planned or organized on Monday as a follow up moment from one Wikimania to the next. It is obvious that during Wikimania the Wikimania 2016 team can not attend and I am not sure what is the meaning of organizing a handover without one of the team. Monday is difficult too for the current team (in Mexico City they could not make it) but I find surprising that Ellie – the coordinator of events for Wikimedia Foundation and secretary of Wikimania Committee – is the one having difficulties in attending while not managing the booking, payments, dismount of the tensile structure, and administration (just to mention some of the issues we will face on Monday). It is appear obvious for me that the meeting can not be anticipated; it will just make things more difficult for Wikimania 2016 team. --iopensa (talk) 06:37, 5 June 2016 (UTC)
