Abstract

Wikipedia is considered as the most important of all Wikimedia projects by volunteer editors and supportive organizations and also most famous among readers as well. Other projects, equally important, are often seen marginalized by Wikipedia. For example, on an average English Wiktionary gets .6% and English Wikisource gets 0.05% pageviews per month in comparison to English Wikipedia!! Indicators like Number of Active Editors and Edits per Month also clearly show the huge gap between English Wikipedia and all other projects. This finding is somehow similar or even worse in other language projects.

In this context, we will present the statistics of the gaps in different language projects, find out the reasons behind it and propose some possible solutions.
