Accommodation roommates

Hello, one of the first questions was: "If you are travelling without relatives or friends, the Wikimania Accommodation team may select same-gender roommates for you. I agree to this."

At first I didn't understand the question. Why would you need to confirm that I accept roommates from the same gender? Wouldn't you rather ask that I accept for roommates from the other gender, which is less commonly accepted?

Since it was compulsory, I agreed. The next page asked which kind of roommates would I want. So only then I understood that the previous question was if I agreed to have any roommates at all.

Then the next page asked if I would like to:

  • Share a room with a friend?
  • Share an apartment with friends or a specific group such as family?
  • I have special needs and require a single room.
  • I need a roommate assigned.

I accept any roommates, but I couldn't find any matching answer.

I tried the first, and I was asked the name of the friend. So the option was that I would like to have a specific friend.

Then I tried the last, and I was asked for any notes. So the option was that I would need you to assign me any roommate.
