Process for the Varenna Esino buses

I think this is extremely poor show not properly notifying scholaship holders of what to do and what to expect when arriving at the large Milan international airport after travelling halfway round he world for 36 hours. If this were organised properly, there should be a representative of the conference on duty at t he airport and they would have the times of arrival of ALL the scholarshipees, instead of just posting ere 'sorry folks, just take a taxi'. We don't even know where we are are going to be dumped in Ensino. Is this to be a repeat of the Hong Kong fiasco in 2013 where dozens of pepolple arriving mid afternoon at the airport were left stranded in the city and could not get to their accommodation untill midnight after missing out on an evening meal to boot? C'mon, guys, at least make this a pleasurable experience rather than another nightmare for some of us in our late 60s and early 70s who are to old for playing adventurous fun and games. Train arrival Tue, 18:36

Hi! I got information that a train arrives in Varenna on Tuesday at 18:36. It would be great if the bus scheduled for 18:30 could wait for it so that people don't need to wait two hours for the next bus. Thanks in advance! Cheers, Martin Rulsch (WMDE) (talk) 12:06, 14 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please consider that the time table of trains changed on June 13th (summer time); it was impossible to get the times earlier and we set the timetable of the busses based on the trains which were guaranteed. This 17.20 train from Milan is reported as available only from Monday until Friday so we did not include it in the list. Do you need the bus on June 21st only or in another day? We can have the bus on June 21st at 18.30 wait 6 minutes if there are seats available; but the other days the bus is at 18.10 and we can not change the timetable (because if we change a time we need to change all the other times and it is a hell of a work - the same busses go up and down and we also need to check when they cross). --iopensa (talk) 07:44, 15 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Iopensa: Thanks for the answer! I don’t know if there is a need for the other days. (But as far as I see, there is a bus at 19:10 on the other days, so one would just have to wait half an hour instead of two hours.) I, the person Martin refered to, will arrive with the Regionale 2575 from Tirano on 21st, 18:36 (if I reach all connecting trains). It would be great if the bus could wait for six minutes.
