Abstract

Users who want to use Creative Commons pictures in blogs or social media face a problem: The license obligations are hard to detect and to follow. Reusers of freely licensed pictures are aware that they need to follow the obligations of the license. But what exactly are these obligations? The worst case can be a cease-and-desist letter. The new license attribution generator by Wikimedia Deutschland automatically detects all necessary license information and helps legal laypeople to follow the obligations. You're only a few clicks away from the correct license attribution!

In this session we would like to give you a short introduction to the attribution generator and want to start a discussion on how to internationalize the tool for other jurisdictions.
