Title: Wikidata beliefs and principles
Author: Lydia Pintscher
Description: I'll teach you about some of the underlying beliefs and principles that guide everything around Wikidata. I'll dig into questions like:
- Why is Wikidata multilingual?
- Why do we not want to model the truth?
- What is knowledge diversity?
- How do I believe we can give more people more access to more knowledge with Wikidata?
After that we'll have time for all of your questions - from basic to advanced.
Purpose: Get you to better understand how Wikidata works and why.
Targeted participants: People interested in getting started with Wikidata editing and like a bit of understanding of the ideas behind the project first.
Preparatory readings or materials: none
