Abstract

Although Korean Wikipedia started not too late after English Wikipedia, but It seems to reiterate the success of Wikipedias in the Korean Wikipedia. The articles in English Wikipedia and Japanese Wikipedia surpass so hgh in terms of the numbers than Korean Wikipedia. Some agree that translation from other Wikipedia would be a potential solution to collect human knowledge in Korean language. In this presentation, I would like to shed a light on the cultural and the technical aspects of outreach for the translation across languages.
